The room beneath the floor.

Unless you make the unconscious conscious it will rule your life and you will call it fate.
— C.G. Jung

Someone once described the unconscious mind as ‘the room beneath the floor’, the place that we know is there but we prefer not to go. Yet, this is precisely the place we all need to go. We need to become aware of the ‘why’. Why we react in certain ways, why we make particular choices, and why we desire what we desire.

Looking inside, or underneath, is hard but necessary work.

We need to do this inner work, so that we can do great outer work.

Get skin in the game, do the work.
